Hunter Hall school children had a very BIG surprise on the Monday before half term as they arrived at school to find a GIANT bear made out of hay bales in the courtyard!
Mr and Mrs Raven, parents at the school had spoken to the head teacher Mrs Vinsome the week before to ask if the school would like a sculpture as they had a few hay bales left and it would be a nice precursor to the school’s Harvest Festival service.
Little did they all know just how big it would be!
A competition ensued at school to name the bear and the winner was Luca Holt Stott with Haley Baley!
