At 10:23am today, Friday 23 November two fire engines from Brampton and Carlisle East attended a report of a building fire on Cottage Road, Hallbankgate.
The fire involved a ground floor combi boiler in a two storey domestic property.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “The fire was extinguished by fire crews using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.
“Fire crews were in attendance for one hour and thirty minutes.”
At 12:20pm today one fire engine from Carlisle East and one from Carlisle West attended a property fire on Milbourne street in Carlisle.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
“Crews were on scene for half an hour.”
