West Cumbria Carers launch carers film

Over the past few months, West Cumbria Carers have been working alongside Adamedia to produce a promotional film highlighting the support unpaid carers receive from the charity.

The footage which is now available to view at https://www.westcumbriacarers.co.uk/services-support/ was recently showcased at the Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster members meeting in order for members to see how their recent donation will support the continuing work of the charity.

One of the difficulties we find for our charity is that people don’t understand the services we offer. It is often assumed we are a care agency, however this is not the case. We support unpaid carers from upwards of 5 years old. After a discussion with Gillian Johnston from Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure, it was felt a promotional film would be a great way to showcase what we offer and also highlight the needs of some of our carers.’ said Michelle McGibbon, Community Fundraising Coordinator, West Cumbria Carers.

Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure kindly sponsored the production of the film, using local film producers, and fellow Business Cluster members, Adamedia for production. Dianne Richardson, from Balfour Beatty BEP project, features in the film and helped to arrange a group of carers to talk about their experiences.

West Cumbria Carers would like to thank everyone who appeared in the film as well as Gillian Johnston from Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure, Dianne Richardson from BEP and Adamedia.
