Carlisle’s Rotary Club has awarded £125 to children’s charity the NSPCC, raised through their wishing well at the Lanes Shopping Centre.
The money was raised through public donations during February and March this year.
NSPCC Community Fundraising Manager Sandra Jones said: “It is wonderful for the Rotary Club to think of us in their regular fundraising activities. They do so much for so many charities we are honoured to have been included.
“The NSPCC relies so much on the kind donations of the public, and this donation is enough to pay for more than thirty Childline counselling sessions for children who desperately need someone to talk to.”
