A FREE craft fair featuring the work of West Cumbrian producers will take place in the Beacon Portal, Whitehaven, on Saturday, April 27.
Sixteen stalls will offer locally-produced foods, cosmetics and artwork, alongside hand-crafted stationery, boutique clothing and jewellery. The event is free to enter.
There will also be a chance to sample some of the produce, and competitions to win on-the-spot prizes.
Alan Irwin, Business Development Manager at the museum, said: “Giving these small home-grown businesses a place to sell their goods is an important way of putting money back into the local community, so we really want to see them thrive.
“What’s more, the quality of local goods is great and improving all the time. For visitors, it’s a perfect stop-off on your scenic Saturday walk here in Whitehaven. Or even better, combine a browse around the fair with a visit to the many attractions in the Beacon Museum next door.”
The spring fair will be open between 10am and 4pm at the Beacon Portal, and there is a car park adjacent to the building.
