Customer Contact
Carlisle City Council’s Customer Contact Centre has reopened for face to face pre-booked appointments. Appointments can be made by calling 01228 817200 or by emailing [email protected]
The Customer Contact team will be available until 4pm on Friday 28 August. You will be able to contact them again from 9am on Tuesday 1 September.

August Bank Holiday Refuse and Recycling Collections
Please remember that refuse and recycling collections will be a day later than usual following the August Bank Holiday.
Please refer to your refuse and recycling calendar to check your collection date.
Usual refuse and recycling date and May Bank Holiday collection date:
- Monday 31 August (Bank Holiday Monday) – Collecting Tuesday 1 September.
- Tuesday 1 September – Collecting Wednesday 2 September.
- Wednesday 2 September – Collecting Thursday 3 September.
- Thursday 3 September – Collecting Friday 4 September.
- Friday 4 September – Collecting Saturday 5 September.
Collections return to normal from Monday 7 September onwards.
