Cumbria County Council’s highways service will carry out repairs to the carriageway on the A595 Wigton Road in Carlisle, between the roundabout at Church Street and the junction to Bower Street.
In order to carry out the works safely, it will be necessary to close the road whilst the works are carried out. The works are due to commence on the evening of Monday 2 November, for 15 nights, excluding weekends. The works will take place between 7pm and 6am and are weather dependant.
Access for drivers will be maintained via a signed diversion on the A689 bypass route. Vehicular access to residential properties during the works will be granted, and this will be coordinated by traffic marshals who will be on site at the closure points.
