Police are investigating an assault that occurred at around 8:25am on 8th November, in the area of Highgate, Kendal.
A 21-year-old man from Kendal and a 19-year-old man from Liverpool were arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent. Both men have been released under investigation.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The victim, a man in his 20s, from Liverpool, was taken to the Royal Preston Infirmary.
“Police would like to appeal to anyone who may have been in the area at this time or may have knowledge of the incident to please get in touch. They would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen an altercation between two men at around 7:25am of 8th November.”
