A patient has been airlifted to hospital after a crash in south Cumbria
Corney Fell road has been shut in both directions after the collision.
Police, fire, the Great North Air Ambulance Service and paramedics have all been called to the scene.
It was reported to police shortly before 2.30pm today.
The crash happened between Duddon Bridge and Wabberthwaite.
A spokesman for the Great North Air Ambulance Service said: “We airlifted a patient following reports of a road traffic collision near Bootle.
“We are currently transporting a patient to hospital.”
The spokesman confirmed they were called to the scene at 2.30pm and had a doctor and paramedic onboard.
