Three people were successfully rescued from Wastwater.
While Whitehaven Coastguard were on patrol yesterday, they were tasked by Belfast Coastguard.
As they approached the scene, police and North West Ambulance Service were hit by heavy traffic and access issues caused by ‘inconsiderate’ parking.
