Man stabbed outside KFC in Carlisle

An investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed outside KFC in Carlisle.

An investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed outside KFC in Carlisle.

Police were called shortly before 2.10am today with a report that man had been stabbed near the KFC restaurant on London Road.

A 28-year-old man, from Carlisle, received hospital treatment at the Cumberland Infirmary and has since been discharged.

A section of London Road has been closed this morning as investigative enquiries were carried out. The road is now open.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident. Detectives are appealing for anyone with information or anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact them.
