Former Workington Zebras forward Jamie Blamire made a sensational start to his first England start against Canada.
Blamire, 23, the Newcastle Falcons hooker, crossed for a try in the first minute of the game and went on to score a hat-trick as England thrashed the Canadians 70-14.
Debutant winger Adam Radwan also helped himself to a hat-trick of tries as Canada conceded over 60 points for the fourth game in a row.
Blamire played for England Under-20s before joining the senior set-up and is seen as an unusually attacking force for his position, which was apparent this afternoon.
As a youngster, he honed his rugby talent at Seaton Rangers rugby league club before linking up with the Zebras from where he joined the Newcastle club.
It was an impressive performance by Blamire in a dominant England performance which saw them finish with ten tries.
