Cumbrian pigeon fanciers will start their young bird race programme this Sunday with the weather forecast predicting perfect conditions.
The Derwent Valley Federation has announced its programme with nine races, starting at Flookburgh and ending at Cheltenham.
The set race points are: July 17, Flookburgh; July 23, Flookburgh; July 30, Garstang; August 6, Charnock Richard; August 13, Appleton 1; August 20, Appleton 2; August 27, Stafford; September 3, Wollaston; September 10, Cheltenham.
The last five races will involve the West Cumberland Federation as West Cumbria Amalgamation races and the final race is a Cumbria Combine event.
