Changes at the top have been made at the Workington and District Sunday League with two long-serving officials standing down.
After seven years as chairman Ian Blair has decided to leave the post and is to be replaced by Richard Manchester of Dearham.
Secretary Ron Caffrey is also to leave the post although he will continue until October by which time a replacement should have been found.
Caffrey said: “Both Ian and I came in when a number of officials had left the League together and we have decided that it’s time we handed over to new blood.
“I’m going to take on the treasurer’s role until the next AGM in 2022 so that I can assist the new secretary.”
The League is set to resume on September 5 with 15 teams involved, including the return of Senhouse Street Club and JJ’s.
“We haven’t closed the door on any other club joining and we are in fact talking about the possibility of an Abbeytown side coming into the First Division which would give us eight in each League,” said Caffrey.
