A 17-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery after an incident in Maryport.
Cumbria police said the incident happened at around 3.05pm on Senhouse Street.
A spokesman said it initially occurred between two groups of youths at the bottom of the street, before moving onto Furnace Lane.
The 17-year-old youth, from the Seaton area, has been arrested and released under investigation.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
