Ellenborough maintained their unbeaten record in another reduced programme of Holmen Iggesund Cumberland ARL matches.
They led Kells A 22-4 at the break and although the visitors edged the second-half it finished 38-28 to the home side.
It looked as though a depleted Kells side were in for a trouncing as they trailed 22-0 after 26 minutes.
Jason Graham had opened the scoring with a try on 10 minutes, converted by Jordan Ostle and five minutes later Andy Ostle went in for an unconverted try.
John Irving crossed on 22 minutes, with Jordan Ostle converting and Kells looked sunk four minutes later when Luke Penrice went over and again Jordan Ostle converted.
But the Copeland visitors were given hope when Lloyd O’Neil went in for an unconverted try right on the half-time whistle.
The unlikely fight back continued at the start of the second half when Richard Marr scored a second Kells try, this time converted by Ashton Sice.
When Dominic Wear scored the third try on 51 minutes, and Sice again converted, there were only six points between the sides and it was game on.
But Elbra steadied themselves and two tries by Jordan Ostle in the 57th and 68th minutes gave them a handy advantage again as he converted both.
Back came the spirited Kells side and two tries inside three minutes from Harry Watson and Marr, both converted by Sice made it a six point game again.
It wasn’t really settled until the last minute when Andy Ostle scored the decisive try for Elbra.
Seaton’s superb run of results, beating Distington and drawing with Ellenborough, came to a shuddering halt at home to Wath Brow A.
They were virtually beaten by half-time when the Hornets led 30-0 and it was only slightly better in the second period as they did score a try through Stephen Newell, but it finished 60-4.
The Wath Brow tries came from Luke Spivey (3), Curtis Teare (2), Daniel Burns (2), Sam Curwen, Luke Davison, Adam Ramsden and Nat Dougan. Curwen landed eight goals.
In Division One Cockermouth were 48-4winners against Aspatria after they had led 24-0 at half-time.
The Cockermouth try scorers were James Hunter (2), Richard Nicholson (2), Matt Wilson, James Beck, Ben Irving and Rob Scott. Jack Clark kicked eight goals.
The lone Aspatria try was scored by Matt Irving.
