Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted by a group of people in Kendal.
Officers said a white Audi A1 was involved in a collision at Parkside Road at around 2.45am on Friday and it was reported that a number of people from the car assaulted a man on the street.
The victim suffered injuries including bruising and swelling to his face and upper body.
A local man, 20, was arrested nearby on suspicion of assault.
He has since been released on police bail while further investigations take place.
