The third day of the Public Inquiry into the application of West Cumbria Mining to build an £160m mine off the coast of Whitehaven will hear from the company’s chief executive this morning.
Mark Kirkbride will give evidence in the inquiry, led by planning inspector Stephen Normington, relating to the mine’s economic impact and employment.
Objectors will speak this afternoon.
Both will be cross-examined by opposing barristers.
