Police are appealing for witnesses to a road collision, which resulted in serious injuries, in Grizedale Forest.
The incident happened at around 7.30pm on Thursday on the Grizedale Tarn Trail near the fox statue.
The collision involved a short wheelbase silver Mitsubishi Pajero.
