Do you want to go to the ball? The Sands Centre is searching for a local star to play Cinderella in the region’s biggest Christmas show!

Auditions are now open for the opportunity to appear in a leading role alongside an all-star professional cast.

The Sands Centre’s Daniel Charlton said “Pantomime is going to be extra special this year for so many reasons, and we are delighted to be searching for a local Cinderella to step into the glass slippers of panto’s most well known princess.

“One thing’s for sure, pantomime is truly magical, and you could be experiencing the festive buzz this Christmas in the region’s biggest pantomime… Get recording and upload your auditions quick!”

To audition for the paid professional role of Cinderella head to searchforastar.co.uk and upload a video showcasing your talent.

The video must be no longer than five minutes, but must include a contemporary pop or musical theatre song.

You may also choose to include dancing and/or dialogue. You must be over 18 to audition for the role.

Auditions close on Wednesday September 22.

Panto producers Enchanted Entertainment are also casting child dancers, with auditions at The Sands Centre on Sunday September 19.

To register for an audition visit pantodanceauditions.co.uk

Cinderella opens on Monday December 13 with morning, matinee and evening performances until Friday December 31.
