The public is being asked to avoid the area after an incident in Carlisle city centre.
Cumbria Constabulary has warned of an increased police presence in the area of Carlyle’s Court while inquiries are carried out.
A statement from the force said: “Please avoid this area to help officers and staff who are attending.
“Thank you for your assistance.”
