An art exhibition is set to take place in Carlisle city centre.
This is the latest chapter in the life of Carlisle Contemporary Arts who are hosting an exhibition of works by artists and makers in the restored Fratry at Carlisle Cathedral.
Along with the present members of the CCA there will be paintings, sculptures, jewellery, pottery and installations by some of Cumbria’s renowned artists. Some artists are creating site-specific work in keeping with the architecture of the medieval Fratry.
The exhibition and sale is curated to enhance the beautiful building by careful placing of the artworks. The visitor can not only view the art but can take time to browse around the interior of this magnificent hall.
Many of the artists will have a varied selection of reproductions, cards and books for sale. There is also a restaurant in the building for refreshment and relaxation.
Guest Artists: Ceri Allen, Rowena Beaty, Marcer Campbell, Eileen Clark, Connie Dalton, Martin Evans, Mark Gibbs, Rachel Gibson, Mark Hamilton, Christine Hurford, Ray Ogden, David Sims, Alan Stones, Fliss Watts, Janis Young.
CCA Members: Anne Bryson, Caroline Dalton, David Hollins, Richard Kavanagh, Marilyn Laugesen, Amanda Mudge, Ray Pearson and David Phillips.
