A man poured alcohol over a woman before throwing the bottle at her.
Police are investigating an assault outside The Rainbow Hotel, Highgate, Kendal around 7pm on Wednesday.
A man is reported to have initiated verbal abuse toward a woman and thrown the contents of a bottle of alcohol over her, before throwing the bottle itself.
Police are appealing to witnesses for further information.
