Barrow, enjoying a second season back in the Football League, plan to improve the matchday experience for fans of all ages.
Chief executive Levi Gill said: “Improving the matchday experience is one of our key priorities this season, and will hopefully prove popular and be a big part of engaging new fans, as well as providing additional entertainment and fun for our existing loyal support.”
It starts this weekend when the club is throwing a special fancy dress Halloween celebration in the Fan Zone ahead of the Rochdale game and Gill said the staff have been going all out to ensure the decorations are seriously spooky.
There are fun and games for young supporters – such as inflatable football and a console with FIFA 22 to play on – plus, some of the Bluebirds stars will be popping along to sign autographs, pose for photos and judge the fancy dress competition!
Gill said this weekend’s activities were just the start, with a number of other themed events and ideas to engage with supporters more on matchday already in the pipeline.
“We’re all really excited for our first themed matchday of the season,” he said.
“It’s something we’d like to do more regularly if fan feedback is positive, so please come along and enjoy the day with us and then let us know your thoughts,” he added.
It’s free entry to the Fan Zone from noon on Saturday for the Halloween Party, while the club is also welcoming fans to The Cross Bar straight after the game for a Halloween disco which will kick off at 7pm.
