Kendal face their biggest test of the season tomorrow when they travel to the North One West leaders.
Stockport have won all 10 League games, scoring 330 points and conceding 148.
So far not one of their 10 opponents has managed a try scoring bonus point and only two have managed a losing bonus point.
Fourth in the table, Kendal do have two games in hand of the other four clubs around them and are on 34 points, 14 shy of Stockport.
Penrith lie fifth on 33 points but know a good performance at both ends of the field could carry them past Firwood Waterloo who are on 36 points.
After an important away win last week, 31-29 at Altrincham Kersal, Penrith will be desperate to follow-up against the team currently lying second in the table.
Stuck in the middle of the top five with 35 points are Glossop who have a good test tomorrow when they visit sixth in the table Manchester.
Last week Manchester lost a good game at Kendal 22-15 while Firwood Waterloo walloped Vale of Lune 56-8.
Stockport were 31-16 winners at Birkenhead Park, which is actually a near-enough average score in their matches so far.
At the bottom of the table Carlisle have a key game at Bowdon as the pair only have Douglas below them.
Carlisle have 12 points from ten games while Bowdon, just below are nine from eight.
Bowdon lost 35-16 at Glossop last week while Carlisle were disappointed to fade and lose 24-13 at home to Broughton Park.
Keswick are Cumbria’s bright sparks in North Two West as they sit third after another close win at the week-end. They followed-up a narrow win at Tarleton with a last gasp victory at De La Salle.
Tomorrow they face a third successive trip away as they visit Winnington Park, the side immediately below them three points adrift.
Cockermouth have been improving steadily and after last week’s excellent performance to beat Bolton 31-17 at Strawberry How have a chance to follow-up at bottom side Orrell.
The Wasps will travel in good heart, with a settled and in-form back division which is only minus winger Harry Oates who has picked-up an injury.
Whilst the pack has been going well, too, there are unfortunately some absentees with Messrs McDowell, Sewell, Fagan, Broster and Stephens all missing.
League leaders Anselmians have won all nine games and last week beat St. Benedict’s 72-19. Benny’s will probably enjoy the fact after that they have a free Saturday.
In Durham/Northumberland One Aspatria have hit form after a slow start to the season and after four wins in a row have a test of their new-found confidence when they travel to Hartlepool Rovers.
They lie fourth in the table five points better off than the Black Reds.
Matches in the Cumbria League tomorrow are: Creighton v Furness; Hawcoat Park v Workington; Upper Eden v Millom and Whitehaven v Wigton.
