Bob & Berts raises cash for Jigsaw

Jigsaw – the only children’s hospice in Cumbria – has welcomed a new link up with Bob & Berts in Kendal which will see vital funds raised for the charity.

The hospice provides love, care and support for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses and their families across the county and relies on donations and fundraising to continue to be able to provide this lifeline.

The new initiative with Bob & Berts will see the coffee and food chain raise funds for Jigsaw, continuing the company’s support for children’s hospices across the UK.

The partnership begins today and runs throughout December with customers being invited to make a charity donation through the till by adding £1 to their bill and to take part in other fundraising activities in store.

Eleanor Viney, fundraising manager at Jigsaw, said: “We’re delighted that Bob & Berts are able to support Jigsaw by raising awareness and much-needed funds for us in their Kendal store.

“The support of staff and customers will make a real difference to the lives of the children and young adults our team are here for. It costs £2,126.46 a day to offer the specialist and individualised care at Jigsaw and so it goes without saying the impact of any support from our community is incredible.”

Bob & Berts Kendal Store Manager, Jodie Johnston, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be supporting Jigsaw Children’s Hospice this Christmas.

“COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on the charity’s fundraising, so it’ll be great to work alongside an amazing charity this year to help them raise as much money as we can.”
