Only two games were played in the Workington and District Sunday League out of the five fixtures which were scheduled.

Two of them were called off because of COVID infections while a third didn’t take place because Seaton Rangers could not raise a side to visit Deer Orchard.

In the Premier Division champions, Northside didn’t have it all their own way at Blue Bell but collected the points with a 4-2 victory.

Callum Speakes, Jonathan Yates, Chad Grisdale and Jaden Scott scored the Northside goals with Tom Powell notching both for Blue Bell.

The other game was in Division One where Senhouse visited Highfield and came back from Cockermouth with the points after a 6-2 victory.

Scott Underwood (2), Terry Wharrier, Ryan Clubley, Chris Taylor and Zak Starkie scored for the Workington side with Luke Harrison on target twice for the hosts.

Games this Sunday – President’s Cup – Sun Inn Athletic v Deer Orchard.

Premier Division: Glasson Gardeners v Blue Bell; Northside v Dearham; Seaton Rangers v Sun Inn.

Division One: Flimby Social v The Junction; Highfield v JJ’s; Senhouse v Maryport Athletic.
