Kendal Town manager Warren Beattie has added to his growing squad ahead of Saturday’s NPL West game at Widnes.

Left sided full-back/midfielder Joel Brogan and striker Nicholas Hepple are likely to be included in the squad if registration formalities are completed.

Beattie said: “I am absolutely made-up to have agreed these signings and I hope both will be completed in time to be eligible for Saturday.

“Nicholas has played for Clitheroe, Darwen and The Army and more recently he has been training with Chester.

“He has been the top scorer for all the teams he has played for and has captained them as well.

“Joel will give us cover at left back and left midfield. He has a bright future ahead of him and we are all looking forward to him representing Kendal.

“He has previously spent time at AFC Fylde, Wyre Villa and professionally in Germany with FC Deisenhofen under-19s.

“I’m also delighted to say that we have spoken with Preston North End and they have kindly extended the loan period for goalkeeper Oliver Lombard for another month.”

Beattie has now brought in virtually a new team of players who he believes are hungry and determined –  “the type we need to fight our way out of trouble.”
