Bed catches fire after laptop charging cable left turned on in Carlisle

A bed caught fire after a laptop charging cable was left turned on in Carlisle.

Two fire engines attended a bedroom fire on St Elizabeth’s Close at 10.28am on Friday.

One casualty was given oxygen due to smoke inhalation.

Crews were at the scene for about 40 minutes.
