A man has been arrested after a vigilante group sting in Keswick.
The online vigilante group confronted the man, accusing him of “grooming” a girl under the age of 16, before informing the police.
Officers arrested the man on Blencathra Street yesterday, January 23, in the afternoon.
A police spokeswoman said: “A 47-year-old man from Keswick was arrested on suspicion of inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity and possessing a controlled drug of class B – cannabis.
“He has been released on police bail.”
