Man faces six counts of attempting sexual communications with a child

A Workington man has been charged with six counts of attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child.

Joshua Sibbald, aged 23, of Salterbeck Drive, Workington was arrested yesterday after being confronted by a vigilante group and handed over to officers.

Sibbald was charged with:

• Breaching a sexual harm prevention order
• Six counts of adult attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child

He is to appear at Workington magistrates court today.
