Cumbria Constabulary said intermittent technical issues with the non-emergency 101 number have now been resolved.
The issue affected some, not all, non-emergency calls this morning, April 9. Officers are calling back those who have experienced this issue when attempting to call.
Non-emergency calls are now connecting though consistently without faults.
Emergency 999 calls were unaffected by the issues experienced today.
