Liverpool – are you watching? This is what a Quadruple looks like!

The League’s committee was out in force yesterday to officially crown Northside the Premier Division champions and naturally organise a snap for posterity with their glittering array of silverware.
Mind you the Quad winners had to battle hard for the points but eventually edged their clash with Deer Orchard 3-2 – the third time the sides have met over the last week.
A convincing 5-1 win earned Northside the League Cup but they needed a goal in the last seconds to beat them 2-1 in the Premier Divisional Cup final a few days later.
Northside played some of their youngsters on this occasion players and won with goals from Nathan Nowak, Liam McCullough and Jaden Scott. Orchard replied through Cieran Poultney and Keith Skillen.
The first trophy to spark the quadruple had been the President’s Cup when Northside beat Sun Inn 4-0.
The rest of the Sunday League season will be concentrating on the battle for the Division One title between Sun Athletic and Maryport Athletic.
Both teams won on Sunday and the championship will be decided at the week-end when they go head-to-head at Aspatria (ko 2pm).
Their records are identical from 11 games with nine wins, a draw and a defeat for 28 points. But if it’s a draw Sun Athletic will win the title as they have a vastly superior goal difference – plus 36 to plus 15.
In their penultimate games Maryport Athletic beat JJ’s 6-0 while Sun Inn Athletic were 3-1 winners against Flimby Social Club.
Ethan Weir (2), Aston Reynolds (2), Kurt Degraff and Dean Scholey were the scorers for Maryport while Mark Campbell (2) and Daniel Dobson netted for the Sun. Leo Holliday kept Flimby in contention.
The final game of the 2021/22 season will be played on Wednesday, May 25 when Sun Inn host Deer Orchard in the Premier Division. The Sun will be runners-up.
