Whitehaven crashed 78-0 at Featherstone in the Betfred Championship clash which illustrated the gulf in class between the two sides.
Rovers, though, are head and shoulders above most teams in the competition, having gone into the game on the back of a 52-0 win at fourth-placed Batley.
They were just too big, fast and smart for a Whitehaven side who scored 14 tries, 11 of which were converted by Craig Hall.
There were hat-tricks from Connor Jones and Jesse Sene-Lefao as Rovers now look forward to the 1895 Cup final at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next weekend.
For Whitehaven there will be time for reflection, an opportunity to lick their wounds through a free week-end, and give some time for knocks and bruises to clear-up before the next assignment on Thursday, June 2 when they host Batley Bulldogs.
The Cumbrians were out-played from the start and once Featherstone scored in the fifth minute it always seemed to be a question of damage limitation for them. It was 46-0 at half-time so on points conceded it was a better second-half display although they seldom looked like opening their own account.
