Woman killed in A66 crash named

The woman who died following a collision on the A66 on Monday has been named.

Emergency services were called to the incident, near Warcop, at around 12.15pm.

The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf, Volkswagen T Cross and a HGV.

Christine Goodings, 61, of Tyne and Wear, was a passenger in the Golf. She died as a result of the collision. 

Two people were airlifted to hospital. The driver of the Golf, a man in his 50s, is described as being in a critical condition and the driver of the T Cross, a woman in her 50s, is described as being in a stable condition. 

Two other people suffered minor injuries.
