
Distington and Wath Brow A will contest the BARLA Cup final on July 2 at a venue still to be decided.
Both had contrasting battles to reach the final with the Hornets really having to dig deep to beat Cockermouth.
Distington were much more comfortable in scoring a 44-6 win over Glasson Rangers.
At Highfield the Titans held a 24-12 lead at half-time but faded as the game progressed to its conclusion with the Hornets snatching a 34-30 victory.
Two players particularly prominent on the rugby union field this winter were among the tries for Cockermouth.
Both man of the match Brad Taylor (Penrith) and Ryan Scott (Aspatria) grabbed a brace each with Alex Barton also touching down. Jack Clarke kicked five goals.
But Wath Brow just had too much in the end and outscored their hosts seven tries to five.
Mark Watson (3), Ryan Hall try, Jack Casey, man of the match Matthew Sibbold and Liam Mattinson made the Wath Brow touchdowns with conversions by Jenson Olstrum (2) and Watson (1).
In their semi-final at Glasson, Distington started strongly scoring two good early team-created tries but couldn’t really shake-off a spirited Glasson response. It was just 18-6 at the break.
In the second-half, however, they pulled away to win convincingly and set up the final early next month.
Man of the match Joe Kirkup was the Glasson try scorer with Luke Johnson adding the conversion.
The Distington tries came from Scott Rooke (2), Nicky Cook (2), Jack Penrice (2), Jamie Friel (2) and Liam McNicholas. Scott George converted four. Steve Conway was their man of the match.
The BARLA County Shield final will be between Hensingham A and Kells A on a date and at a venue to be decided.
Hensingham were able to build-on an 18-4 interval lead at home to Seaton and they finished winners by 42-20.
The home side scored eight tries from Ben Rogerson (2), Craig McAvoy (2), Logan Holgate, Mike Maudling, Taylor Richardson and Dave Cartmell. Noel Branthwaite landed five conversions.
Seaton replied with tries from Brett Symes (2), Luke Crossman and Jay Roach. Brendon Walker converted two of them.
Kells A travelled to Millom A for their semi-final and came home with a 48-6 win after leading 14-0 at half-time.
Damel Laughton scored the Millom try which man of the match Jackson Evans converted.
Kells scored nine tries through Harry Watson (2), man of the match Clarke Chambers (2), Jamie Jennings, Scott Lofthouse, Owen Martin, Ryan Starkey and Joe Moore. Daniel Starkey converted six.
There was one game played in the Holmen Iggesund Premier League and champions Ellenborough powered to a 58-10 home win against Lowca.
It was 30-4 at half-time to Elbra and they finished the game with ten tries, nine of which were converted by Owen Hoyles.
Kevin Hoban led the way with a hat-trick and he was followed over by Jordan Ostle (2), Hoyles, Louis Fearon, Shane Ackerley, Kian Dempsey and Kia Gillespie. John Todd was their man of the match.
Lowca scored two tries through Luke Stockton and Tony Hetherington with Jamie Scott converting one. Emerson Allen was their man of the match.
