The Cumbria Combine birds are on their way home from Guernsey following a liberation at 10am.
Weather conditions had meant them being held over on Saturday and yesterday, and cloud cover on the island earlier today meant the convoyer had to wait until that cleared.
The Cumbrian birds – transported with pigeons from across the North West – were let go in a strong east-north-east wind for the flight home.
Two weeks ago the West Cumbria Amalgamation winner was clocked just before 6.55pm, covering the 349 miles from Guernsey to Alan Graham’s loft at Cleator Moor following the 10.15am liberation.
A third Guernsey race is plotted into the programme for July 2.
