Two people killed in a helicopter crash on the Cumbrian border have been named.
Ian MacDonald, 66, of Burton-in-Lonsdale and 16-year-old Admasu Birhan Tefera, a German national, have been named by North Yorkshire Police, although a formal identification is yet to take place.
Locals told the Guardian that the 16-year-old had been living with a nearby family for the past three months.
It is believed Mr Macdonald was coming in to land his Guimbal Cabri G2 aircraft near his home when the crash happened in a field near the village just before noon on Tuesday.
An investigation into the crash continues and Air Accidents Investigation Branch representatives have visited the scene.
