Pete Wild has landed another new signing for Barrow as his squad takes shape ahead of the new season.
Experienced defender George Ray has joined the Bluebirds from Exeter City on a two-year deal.
The 28-year-old 6ft 4in centre half played 19 League games for Exeter last year and also spent time on loan at Leyton Orient where he made nine appearances.
Warrington-born Ray was capped five times by Wales Under-21s while he was at Crewe Alexandra where he signed as an 11-year-old.
He made 137 starts for Crewe, scoring five goals, making his professional debut in the 2013 Football League Trophy Final. In doing so, he became the first player to make his professional debut in a cup final held at Wembley Stadium.
He then moved to Tranmere Rovers where he played 26 games, with one goal, in two years there.
During his time on loan at Brisbane Road in the latter half of last season, he played in The O’s 2-0 victory over The Bluebirds in April.
