A new Starbucks drive-thru is set to open in Carlisle, creating up to 25 jobs.
A bid to turn the former Suzuki showroom on Kingstown Broadway on the Kingstown Industrial Estate, into a new branch of the coffee shop has been given the go-ahead by city planners.
The showroom was vacant since 2019 and for sale since September 2020. It has since been demolished.
Open 6am to 10pm seven days a week, the drive-thru will be operated as a franchise.
It will have 31 parking spaces, plus 13 electric vehicle charging points and racks for 14 bicycles. The drive-thru will have capacity for 10 vehicles to queue.
