Man arrested after road rage attack

A man in his 40s has been arrested after a road rage attack in Longtown.

The man, the driver of a white Ford Transit van, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted wounding and harassment after he was involved in an altercation with the rider of a quad bike and a rider of a motorbike on July 17.

He was subsequently released on bail.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at around 5.30pm on Swan Street and Mary Street, to come forward.
