Penrith look as though they will be putting out one of their youngest line-ups this afternoon.
Injuries, holiday and other commitments have seriously hampered manager Darren Edmondson’s team plans for the visit of Sunderland RCA.
“It is what it is and we are just going to get on with it,” said Edmondson, looking for his second win of the season.
“Gary Richardson and Jamie Armstrong both have hamstring injuries from the mid-week game, while we have others away on holiday.
“It’s likely to be the youngest team the club has ever put out but we will make a first of it and see what we can do,” he added.
Penrith had opened their account in the Northern League First Division with a 3-0 win at Heaton Stannington but since then have lost in the FA Cup and were beaten 3-1 at home by Thornaby on Tuesday in the League.
“That was a very disappointing first-half and we missed two good chances early in the game which could have changed things.
“Half time changes seemed to work because there was more intensity about our play in the second-half and it was a big improvement,” he said.
Opponents Sunderland RCA scored an injury time equaliser at Carlisle City on the opening day of the season.
In mid-week they were beaten 1-0 at home by West Auckland.
