The M6 in South Cumbria is closed after a collision involving a HGV.
The lorry has overturned between junctions 36 and 37. The incident happened at around 11.50am.
The northbound carriageway is closed so emergency services can recover the vehicle and clear the road.
Police are asking drivers to avoid the area.
