Bus passengers are urged to check before they travel as a national driver shortage means services can be cancelled at the last minute.
Travel firm Stagecoach has announced on Twitter that the following services will not run:
- 14:36 Workington to Thornhill
- 15:55 Thornhill to Maryport
- 17:42 Maryport to Frizington
- 15:51 Workington to Maryport
- 16:20 Maryport to Workington
- 17:11 Workington to Thornhill
In response to people’s complaints on the social media platform, Stagecoach said: “Now there is a national driver shortage this means that services can be cancelled and withdrawn at short notice. We are currently recruiting and training new drivers to try and ease this situation.”
