Kendal earned early bragging rights over local rivals Kirkby Lonsdale after an Under-18s Colts clash at Mint Bridge.
The home side came out on top 38-3 after running away with the game in the second-half.
A particularly hard-fought first-half was scoreless until the 34th minute when William Meaden put Kendal ahead with a try, converted by Aaron Stephens.
Right on the stroke of half-time Kirkby Lonsdale reduced the arrears with a penalty to take the visitors into the break trailing 7-3.

But it was a different story in the second half when Kendal started quickly to score two tries through Charlie Lowther and Idris Hill in the first four minutes. Stephens converted both.
Stephens then added a penalty before Barney Coxon powered over for the fourth Kendal try, again converted by Stephens.
The victory was completed with a try from Connor Lees which Stephens improved.
Powerful figures in the Kendal pack were Barney Coxon, at 6ft 4in, and his younger brother Oscar who stands 6ft 6ins the sons of former Kendal, Cumbria and North prop Billy Coxon.
