Woman in critical condition after Barrow crash

A woman is in a critical condition after a collision in Barrow which closed a town street for several hours.

The 60-year-old woman was taken to Furness General Hospital after the incident at the junction of Allison Street and Robert Street at around 6.45pm yesterday, September 12.

The collision involved a red Lexus RX, driven by the woman and no other vehicles were involved.

The road was closed for a number of hours while a forensic collision investigation was carried out.

Anybody who witnessed the collision is asked to contact PC 2190 Batley or Sgt 1929 Bainbridge of the Mobile Support Group.
