Workington will have skipper Conor Tinnion back in the squad for their home game with Widnes.
Tinnion had to pull out on Friday night ahead of the game at Glossop last week after going down with a bug.
He has trained well with the rest of the squad this week and will be back in contention for the game against an improved Widnes side.
Manager Danny Grainger is still waiting on defender Sam Smith who missed the Glossop game with an ankle injury and is reported to be touch and go.
Niall Moran, on loan from Chorley, played well as Smith’s deputy at Glossop and will be in the starting line-up if Smith misses out again.
Smith was injured in the 4-1 defeat at Macclesfield ten days ago but Bobby Carroll and Ruben Jerome, also injured in that game were able to play at Glossop.
Looking towards the game Grainger said: “We had a very good training session last night and we will be looking to get a run going now after last week’s very good 3-0 win at Glossop.
“But it won’t be easy. Widnes have shown improvement in recent games and have picked up seven points from the last three games.
“We will be concentrating on what we do best and hopefully can keep up our momentum at the top end of the table.”
