Contractors will be repainting white lines on a Cumbrian A road to help make it safer.
Work on the A684 is due to start on Monday and will last for 10 days, Cumbria County Council said, depending on the weather. Work will be carried out Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm.
Work will take place along the carriageways on:
- A684 Long Lane to Garsdale Head, Sedbergh
- Scotch Jeans Killington
- A684 Shacklabank Lane to Station Road, Sedbergh
A traffic management system will be in place for each segment of the improvements.
Councillor Keith Little, Cumbria County Council cabinet member for highways and transport, said: “We would like to thank the community and businesses for their continued support, while we improve the road network, and make it safer for everyone.
“These new white lines will be a significant improvement to the A684 and are part of the overall Safer Roads Project.
“We understand that these work plans may cause some disruptions which we do apologise for this, but we will ensure that the road network flows as best it can.”
