Workington Reds striker Jordan Palmer is returning to his old club Carlisle City for a couple of weeks to gain more regular game time.
Palmer has scored two important goals for the Reds since joining from the Northern League side in the summer but has mainly been restricted to substitute appearances.
Manager Danny Grainger said: “I’m happy with Jordan’s progress with us but he does need more time out there in the middle and City were happy enough to accommodate him.”
Palmer is likely to go straight into the City side to host Pickering Town in the Northern League First Division.
Grainger, however, has still to decide whether to include recent signing Obua Mugalula, 23, on the bench for tomorrow’s game at Newcastle Town.
Mugalula made his debut as a trialist in the Fred Conway County Cup at Windscale and scored the opening goal in a 2-1 win, before signing a few days later.
The Mancherster-based forward has trained with Reds for a month now and Grainger has been pleased with what he’s seen so far, but has to decide whether he will make the bench at Newcastle.
“We have one of the lads from last week who might be struggling and I want to see how things are in the build-up to the match.
“Newcastle will offer a threat going forward but as always it will be about how we perform. I was delighted last week because I thought we were fantastic but it’s about producing that again. There are no easy games in our League,” said the manager.
