West Cumbrian photographer Gary McKeating has created a calendar to raise money for Workington RNLI.

Featuring stunning images of Harrington, it is the fifth year Gary has sold a calendar in aid of the charity.

The 53-year-old, of Harrington, has been a staunch supporter of the RNLI for several years and as a keen photographer decided to use his passion to raise funds for the organisation.

He said: “I know the lifeboat crew and I’m in awe of their bravery but also of their families.

“Ready to scramble at any time they volunteer to save lives whilst putting their own in danger. They are selfless so I’m glad to raise much needed funds for them.”

Workington RNLI is staffed by a volunteer crew, who are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It receives no Government funding and relies on donations.

The station, at the Port of Workington, has an all-weather lifeboat and an inshore lifeboat and carries out dozens of rescues a year.

Calendars are £10 and are available from Gary’s Facebook page, McKeating Photography, here.
